The Worcester Blades announced on Sunday that the team will be taking part in a first-ever doubleheader at the DCU Center on Saturday, November 17.

In the announcement, Blades General Manager Derek Alfama expressed the excitement the team has to be playing in Worcester and that the team “looks forward to joining the Worcester community, and can’t wait to show you a great product on the ice.”

The Blades will face the Montreal Canadiennes at 3:30 and the Worcester Railers will play that night against the Orlando Solar Bears at 7 PM.

The Railers will also be holding a second promotion that night with a special guest appearance by New England Patriots Matthew Slater.

As is the case with all Railers doubleheaders, one ticket is valid for both games in the arena. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster and at the arena box office.
