The Mac Budapest (Hungary) announced the signing of former Worcester Railers Captain Chris Langkow on Friday.
Chris Langkow’s statement in the team’s announcement reads the following (translated):
“I accepted MAC Budapest’s offer because I have been with Gergely Majoross over the last few years, I know that MAC is an organization that is highly respected and I have heard from everyone that they are very well treated by their players. I’ve been playing football in Hungary so far, just like MAC Budapest, two years ago, with my team at the time, with Ljubljana, this year I’m looking forward to a great season with MAC, our first season in a new league and I will help my team I’m going to do everything I can to get to the playoffs, that’s my job, what kind of player am I? I’d say I’m a guy who goes out on ice each night to drop everything he has to win his team. I’m fast and I think I can see the track well, I like to play. My strength is still the delivery of parties. For me the summers are very important, when I build up, work a lot and practice on ice, I develop my skills. Of course, the time spent with family and friends is very important to fill up and be ready for the next challenge when the time comes.
I came from a Hockey family, so I grew up that it was all about hockey and all the other sports that went wrong. Therefore, I spend so many sports activities in my summer as much as I can spend and spend as much time on camping in the mountains as I can. I love being in nature and hiking. But most important is my family and friends, the time they spend with them.”
Langkow was second in assists and points, and was ranked third in goals scored for the Railers last season, going 18-27-45 in 50 games before his season was cut short with a leg injury on March 17.
Langkow wore the Captain’s C for the Railers in 30 games last season, tied with Ashton Rome for most in franchise history.
