Notes
- Railers Scratches: Mitch Gillam, Tommy Kelley, Yanick Turcotte, Malcolm Gould, Nick Bligh, Connor Doherty, Alex Vanier.
- The ECHL’s deadline for a 20-man active roster went into effect at 3 PM on Sunday. While the Railers haven’t been at the previous capacity of 21 players due to the injuries of Yanick Turcotte and Tommy Kelley for some time. Railers have 25 players on their roster (22 skaters, 3 goaltenders), meaning whenever Turcotte and/or Kelley return, there will be some cuts to the roster. Same goes for Mitch Gillam’s return, but Charlie Millen will be the one to get cut when that time comes. Turcotte and Kelley are eligible to return at any point, but that doesn’t look like it’ll be happening anytime soon.
- Mitch Gillam was placed on 14-day Injured Reserve on November 12, retroactive to November 8, which was when he suffered an upper-body injury and left the game against Newfoundland. The earliest Gillam can be activated from injured reserve is November 22, which is a day before the Railers will face the Monarchs at home.
- Evan Buitenhuis assured Worcester fans earlier this week that his signing with Bridgeport last week was nothing more than a precautionary measure while Gillam is hurt. “If any of the top four goalies get hurt in the next week then you can expect that I’ll get the call,” Buitenhuis said on Monday at the Railers Booster Club Meeting. “There’s no question that when Gilly returns he’ll be the guy getting the call.”
- Railers have had a number of notable transactions since their last game. Here’s a quick look at everything that has went down since:
