Worcester, MA — The Worcester Railers dropped their fourth straight game on Friday the 13th, falling 5-3 to the Trois-Rivières Lions at the DCU Center.

The night began with fireworks, as Kolby Johnson and Mathieu Boislard dropped the gloves just 2:32 into the first period, earning five-minute majors for fighting. Shortly after, Cam McDonald scored his first professional goal to give Worcester an early 1-0 lead, assisted by Jordan Kaplan and Jack Randl. However, the Lions answered with two goals: Anthony Beauregard struck at 14:10, and Alex Beaucage followed at 19:38, sending Trois-Rivières into the first intermission with a 2-1 lead.
Early in the second period, the Lions extended their advantage during a crucial penalty kill for Worcester. Beauregard notched his second goal at 3:07 on a 5-on-3 power play, and Isaac Dufort tallied his first professional goal just 49 seconds later, making it 4-1. Worcester captain Anthony Repaci responded at 13:48, scoring on the power play to cut the deficit to 4-2.
The Railers ramped up their comeback effort in the third period when Jordan Kaplan buried his own rebound at 1:23, narrowing the Lions’ lead to 4-3. Despite a strong push to tie the game, the Railers couldn’t find the equalizer. Beaucage sealed the win for Trois-Rivières with an empty-net goal at the one-minute mark, completing his two-goal night.
