The Sharks announced that the club has signed right wing Mike Iggulden (IHG-gul-den) to a two-year contract. In keeping with club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The first-year professional spent training camp with the Sharks and earned a professional tryout contract (PTO) to play for the Cleveland Barons, the top development affiliate of the Sharks. In 43 games with the Barons this season, he is fourth on the team with 30 points (13-17=30) and 14th among all American Hockey League rookies. Also, his 13 goals are tied for tenth among rookies.

Iggulden played his collegiate hockey at Cornell (ECAC). He registered 34 points (13-21=34) in 110 career games at the college level.

The six-foot-three, 215-pound native of St. Catharine’s, Ontario was signed as an undrafted free agent.
