Worcester Sharks President Michael T. Lehr announced an innovative and exciting fundraising plan for Greater Worcester charitable programs during the 2006-07 season. The unique fundraising efforts will allow groups to take in all of the action and excitement of a Sharks game and raise money at the same time.

The program is available to all schools, youth hockey leagues, charitable organizations and all non-profit organizations. Groups who commit to a minimum purchase of 100 tickets to any Sharks home game for just $10 per ticket, can then re-sell the tickets for any amount they want up to face value, with all proceeds going to the charity.

For example: If a youth hockey league purchases 250 tickets, and sells them at a fundraiser for $14 each, the event would raise $1,000 for the league.

The participating group will receive recognition on the scoreboard and public address system and entry for every ticket holder into an exclusive group raffle. Plus, each group leader will receive a special gift as well.

Opening night will be in October of 2006 with the entire American Hockey League schedule to be released this August. Organizations interested in group tickets should call 508-929-0500.
